Great iron! in Irons

I had a Panasonic iron for about 16 years and it suddenly died (probably due to old age). Found this at Revain and decided to give it a try, especially since it was in purple. Excellent iron, I recommend it to everyone. Works better than my old one. I have no complaints yet. The old one was silicone coated but this one isn't but it works great. I have used the steam and spray functions and everything works smoothly. Heats up quickly and irons well. It's beautiful and functional! I'm glad my old

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Minor problems

The Panasonic iron has died again - for about the 4th time.

I love these irons but be warned they only last a little over a year and if you haven't bought the protection offered you will need to start looking for a new iron around 14 -15 months. I quilt and love them because they are light, heat well, steam well. I guess I'll have to look for another brand, but I also have a new one in my closet that was waiting in line. And so it happened. 14 months after his sister Eisen died again. I use 1/2 water and 1/2 distilled water which is recommended for most

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Older model

Efficient, well thought out iron

I like this iron. I am used to Rowenta irons, my family and my husband's family have always bought them. However, the Rowenta was a bit out of our budget, especially as I almost never ironed. So I decided to try this iron. Well ironed! It's better than I expected. This iron has so many settings. I used the cotton to silk settings. All settings are well ironed, will not burn or damage fabrics. I didn't use steam. However, I noticed that there is no cup/pot to fill the water tank for steaming…

  • There's something about it

good iron but it drips

It's ok, it does its main job as an iron but after just a few uses I noticed that it drips some water onto my clothes with use. It didn't soak anything, but of course I'd prefer it didn't drip at all. I think if I were willing to spend a lot more on an iron I could expect better performance, but since I don't iron every day I thought I might go for a cheaper option. I'm not staring at anything. insanely gentle so I will keep using it. It's ok, not great, but I'm fine with my hardware. If…

I hate ironing but this is a great iron.

Really good iron. I wasn't sure about the polished stainless steel soleplate, but was amazed to find that it was an update of my old non-stick coating. Also, I've noticed that all the expensive, high-end irons use stainless steel soleplates. It heats up very quickly, is well balanced and comfortable to use. I find it more stable than my old iron when sitting upright, but after the latter broke from hitting the ironing board and being dropped I bought a pad and left it face down. I can't say…
