I have a regular desk, like in many houses, in a room where there is not much space to work. My 17 inch laptop takes up too much space. Then there is almost no space left at the base of the monitor. I got a flexible monitor stand that attaches to the edge of my desk that takes care of the base of the monitor and then getting this adjustable laptop stand really made a big difference. So now my laptop is as high above the table as I want. Mine is about 4 or 5 inches, which gives me more than enough room to stash an extra Logitech K800 keyboard or whatever. I would like. So now I have a completely free table. Unlike the calculator, it is wide open. This stand from Awezon is a stand to be reckoned with. Sturdy construction. The hinges/knuckle points are really tight so you don't have to worry about them sagging or losing alignment. In fact, it's so cramped that it's desirable to change position with a laptop or something that's not on a stand. You don't want to apply that kind of force to a flimsy instrument. Let the stand be incredibly strong, strong enough to park your bead. is 9 inches front to back and 10 1/2 inches wide, providing more than adequate support for even a 17 inch laptop. It has small, round rubber feet that prevent the bottom of the laptop from sliding. Nice gesture. Highly recommended.
