Compare to Weathertech

I have 3D MAXspider and WeatherTech floor mats for my 2020 Camry Hybrid. The MAXspider looks better, especially the rear mats (more on that later). They completely wrap around the top of the rider footpeg and curve slightly around it. They are stiffer and therefore fit snugly into the footwell. The rear mats drop where rear heater vents are, presumably to allow for better airflow (more on that later). The rear mat set comes in three pieces, one for each footwell and one over the center lip. That's why they fit hybrid and standard Camry models. The WeatherTech floor mats look a little more fit for purpose than the MAXpider floor mats. I did mention to another WeatherTech user that the rear mats don't look as well made as the front ones and he agreed that the rear mats are less textured. The mat on the driver's side does not reach the footrest like on the MAXpider. To me this doesn't seem to affect function as my foot is still not over the mat. Unlike the MAXpider, WeatherTech's front floor mats rise up the sides of the footwell to completely cover the carpet around the edges. This means that the sides are somewhat better protected from direct contact with dirt and grime, but the edges don't stay pressed tightly to the sides, so dirt and liquids are more likely to slide between the mat and the footwell, in contrast to the 3D MAXpider. The WeatherTech rear mats are one-piece. Because the hybrid's center protrusion is higher than the standard Camry, ordering the right kit is important. Although the two MAXpider mats fit snugly against the center mat, there is a small chance that spilled liquid will slide between the center mat and the mat onto the carpet. That definitely doesn't happen with one-piece WeatherTechs. The front and rear mats do not fall in front of the heater nozzles under the seats. It also offers slightly better protection from spills. Overall, both WeatherTech and MAXpider are great all-weather mats. MAXpider is probably the better option of the two.
