First of all, you get what you pay for. I bought these brushes because the original brushes are expensive BUT I didn't want to pay that much money for a style I don't like. I wanted to use them mainly for face and lip makeup and brush cleaning which leads me to why I gave these brushes 4 stars. I was able to get a nice set for less than $20. The brushes are super soft. They work great for what I wanted to use them for and I figured it's not worth paying over $300 for an expensive set, I'm fine with them. And none of my brushes broke. Be extra, you'll break this $17 set. Keep it simple and take your time and they will last at least 4 months (as long as I have them). I would give 5 if it weren't for a pair of stiff bristled brushes that scratched my face. I dealt with it, cut it out.
