The big disadvantage of police bodycams is the lack of expandability via microSD. While a 400GB MicroSD card costs less than $50, this camera limits you to a tiny fraction of that space from the camera's internal storage. The internal storage is non-removable, which helps in terms of security, but also means that 1) you will be limited to 64GB of disk space and will have a relatively short browsing time, and 2) if you need to back up files, the copying speed will be slow. While my microsd cards achieve copy speeds of 80MB/s, this camera can only achieve copy speeds of 14MB/s via the mini USB port, which takes about 1 minute per GB. I like that this camera is relatively quiet and I don't feel the need to disable the startup/shutdown/button sounds. Other body cams make louder noises, which may be more useful for getting people's attention, especially when using the siren feature.
