This food has changed my dog's life for the better in almost every way. For years he couldn't keep the weight off and garnered a lot of side looks for his impossibly thin looks despite numerous attempts to gain weight (even full-fat Greek yogurt couldn't help, nothing helped). He had many anxiety problems as well as accident problems at home almost every day. He was also obsessed with drinking water, licking puddles, drinking bowls of water until he got sick, licking the shower after one of us took a shower. I assume it was some kind of heartburn. Maybe his throat hurt and the water was soothing. He was cared for and loved, but he still struggled with those issues. I saw this food in petsmart and saw results immediately. From the very first bag of food he gained a lot of weight. The form makes it so he has to eat slower but I think there has to be something special in the formula. Not only does he look a lot healthier (now he has cute little love arms!), but his entire demeanor has changed. He's much calmer, he's not fixated on water and drinks normal/reasonable amounts, and he's completely stopped getting into accidents. I never thought food could affect a dog's behavior so much, but my experience with Royal Canin changed my mind. He also loves the soft lined version and I sometimes give it to him as a treat. If you have any doubts about the cost, don't hesitate. It's a lot cheaper on Amazon than retail and lasts about a month or more. It was such a big change and I'm so glad this meal did what it did for my sweet boy's quality of life!
