We bought this microphone carrying case because of the great price. In general, the case works well. The plastic it is made of has a rough surface. It's not smooth, but it's made of sturdy, decently heavy plastic. Inside is an eggshell foam insert that attaches to the lid of the case (non-removable) and several foam inserts. Each has a different thickness and they are detachable so you can use only what you need. You can also cut out a foam tray to fit your stuff inside. Very convenient! The only complaint is with the plastic that keeps the locks closed. They are made of softer, flexible plastic. They're not flimsy plastic, but they do seem to wear out over time and then you can't keep the case closed. Too bad, because overall this case is worth the money, it protects everything in it. I wish they had paid a little more attention to the locks overhaul. Would even spend a little more money on these cases if they could solve the problem. If you plan on using this suitcase on a daily basis and opening and closing it constantly, you might want to spend a little more money on something with metal locks. Just my opinion. Otherwise, this case is pretty decently priced and made in the USA!
