Flexibility and reliability

Multiple power supplies allow for flexibility, and the ability to power the adapter directly from the power supply with a 6-pin connector ensures that the adapter is not run by a powerful Molex or SATA dependent is power source. Not cut out for Vega cards in my experience. All 12 work pretty much the same with each other, something my other brands can't boast of.
