My Favorite Drift Cameras

I give the Drift Ghost X 5 stars based on its $99 price tag. There are other action cams out there that offer better quality, but surprisingly there isn't an action cam with a rotating lens on the market, but Drift has had one since their first camera and it's great that Drift has a rotating lens camera lens for $99. . I use the Ghost X as a helmet cam and I wouldn't be able to record live video if it didn't have a rotating lens. My shots would always be crooked because I have to mount the camera. It's worth 5 stars here, but the camera also takes great quality video and has a battery life of 4-5 hours. I bought an extended battery that increases the battery life to 7-8 hours. I installed a 64GB card in my Ghost X and have been on trips that lasted several hours and went flawlessly most of the time. Ghost X records up to 27 minutes and then starts a new file. The transition from one file to another is smooth. I filled my 64GB card several times and one day Ghost X crashed and I had to restart recording. My camera only crashed once so it doesn't bother me but I will check during a long drive to see if the camera is still recording. I used an external microphone with the included microphone adapter and the sound is good and clear. The mic adapter is a mini-USB, but it fits comfortably and snugly in the port, and I've never had a problem using it as a camera on a helmet. The last thing I want to say is that the Ghost X is pretty small. I have a Drift Ghost-S and the Ghost X is about 60-70% smaller than the Ghost-S. Ghost X is my third drift action camera. I started with 720HD then I bought Ghost-S. which I still use today, and then the Ghost X. I would try another brand of camera if any of them had pivoting lenses, but Drift was the only one offering them and I have not been disappointed with any of my Drift cameras.
