These bobbin holders work great with my Bernina bobbins and my Janome/Singer bobbins. The coils are inserted and held securely. They also attach securely to Sulky and Coats & Clark thread spools. I couldn't have asked for a better way to hold coils and coils together. One suggestion: if you're using it for embroidery with thread (for free-standing lace or 3D objects that need the top and bottom threads to be the same), you can attach the bobbin to the end that does NOT have a color number. then store the thread "upside down" so that the bobbin is on top (so you know which ones already have matching bobbins) and the number is still legible at the bottom. Keeping your coils in numerical order should work well for you. I'm REALLY tempted to buy another pack as I've just used all but one of the ones I just received.
