elegant hook but the polished nickel version differs from regular brass
Shiny polished nickel version attracts a magnet although not as strong as iron. It doesn't appear to be electroplated, which can be determined by sanding the finish on the back. It can be "nickel bronze", which contains a significant amount of magnetic nickel, or "nickel-aluminum bronze", which contains nickel and often iron. It would be nice to see a clearer description. The hook is very elegant, has a nice sheen and weight. I will probably buy more of these.
