Review on Original Magnetic Privacy MacBook Touchbar by Jose Schweigert

I bought this item directly from the Stark website. I had high hopes but I'm disappointed. I am comparing this product to the 3M Gold privacy screen I had for my previous laptop (13" MacBook Air). I currently have a late 2016 13" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar*. The magnetic app for this screen works very well. Easy to turn on, easy to remove, no problems at all. This is a very smart and effective approach.* The screen is clearly visible/readable from any angle except from a very steep angle. For example, this product will not be very effective on an airplane. Compare that to 3M, where you were out of luck unless you were standing directly in front of the screen. This was very effective for privacy. I've been praised by lawyers and cybersecurity experts for the effectiveness of the 3M privacy filter. You will not praise this Stark product. * The screen does not close completely when the privacy filter is attached. There is still a small gap and even pressure on the screen doesn't help to close the gap/close the laptop completely. I understand it has to do with the design of the laptop (no bezel) but if I can't close the device when this product is attached then it's not very helpful to me. Bottom Line: If you're looking for effective privacy, look elsewhere. If you're looking for "good enough whatever" privacy, then look elsewhere anyway as the laptop doesn't close completely. But hey, this magnet idea is a winner. Full credit for that.
