This came faster than we expected. It's actually pretty handy for what it is! We bought this to create a place in our doorway/hallway to sit while we put on or take off our shoes. There is a little lip on the other side of our closet that fits perfectly! And we have enough space to put another small table. The memory is deeper than I expected. It's not super deep, but it's not super shallow either. My husband loves the legs too. These are brackets, not screws. All in all, this is a really good piece. We received it today so I can't comment on its longevity but the quality seems pretty good! To be honest I forgot/disregarded the storage compartment but when I opened it I was very impressed. If he passes the "childhood test" he will be the winner in my book! I also really like the look of the product. He has an almost elegant taste. The real pillow is also a big plus for me. I thought it might be some wood or something and maybe 1/4 inch thick foam or something which is also undesirable but the entire upper is padded which makes it so much better if you have back or tailbone issues. I would buy another one if we needed two. not long enough for the end of the bed unless they were twins or something but perfect for what we bought it for! They also took care of the packaging. There was a piece of cardboard/styrofoam on top to prevent damage to the ottoman when the box was opened. The legs were also safely stored in the storage compartment and in their own box.
