Great Line In Device

This product performed as expected and exceeded my expectations. While you can use it to record from turntables (or anything with a 3.5mm or RCA jack), I've used it to listen to game audio on my Nintendo Switch (Super Smash Brothers Ultimate!) when a call on my computer Discord was open. . It works without the need for drivers on a CD and comes with useful accessories such as a 3.5mm jack-to-jack adapter and a left/right RCA coaxial audio adapter. When connecting for the first time, the sound may sound distorted or with bass reinforcement. However, all you have to do is go to Sound Control Panel > Recording > right-click the device > Properties > Levels and adjust the volume there until the distortion is gone (anywhere between 50-75). After that, the audio is clean and clear, with no hum or buzz caused by the adapter. To listen to a device while audio is playing, go to Sound Control Panel > Recording > right-click the device > Properties > Listen and click Listen to this device. This is significantly better than Nintendo's offering, on the downside that it won. Doesn't work with phones, but if you use your computer to chat, it's a worthwhile investment. It's also very helpful when you find a vinyl record or cassette with songs that you want to digitize. Note. The software (Audacity) that comes with the drivers is a free program. If you're recording audio, I'd recommend downloading the latest version from the Audacity website (google it!). If it's the default recording device (denoted by a green tick in Sound Control Panel > Recording), you can use the built-in Voice Recorder in Windows 10, but it doesn't offer as many settings as Audacity. .
