I mostly just use teapots for citrus and water. I've found that all sorts of other fruits add a lot of color to the water but not much flavor. The lemon, lime, and orange chunks add some flavor to the water, though, so it's worth taking the time to add the fruit tincture to my water. You can use an incense stick to press on the fruit to get the scent out of them and into the water while it's all in the jar. This is a nice extra not included in some jars like this, which are just a container and brewing device, no stick or pestle that works to get the flavor out of the fruit. Pitcher when serving drinks and keeps water cold. I saw another reviewer mention that they had issues with the core becoming too big to fit back into the jar when it was 100% frozen, so I gave mine a try, just partially or fully separating it let it freeze and used it that way. It works, but it would be more convenient to just leave the core in the freezer until I need it. I'm still testing it to see how cold it can get before it no longer fits. I like the size of the jug. He's more than I expected. I think I got so used to things arriving smaller than expected that I just assumed this jar would be very small too. I'm glad it's a good size as the fruit infuser and cooling core take up space when in use. I think this is a good mug for the price it is being sold for.
