Worked. ultimately the best in legacy systems

I hate writing bad reviews but I wanted to share my disappointment so others don't have to. I hope this review answers some of the questions I've seen about this product. The problems started when I couldn't adjust the volume or mute it, I used it in PC mode (it's a RED LED). I read the LS20's owner's manual before I bought it and the quick mute function was a key selling point for me. So I emailed LS support about the problem. I got a quick response from support basically telling me to read the manual. I assume the techs were referring to this section: Note that the volume, bass boost, and mute buttons don't work in passive mode, but the cellphone control button on the left earcup still works. I found the support response quite offensive and not at all helpful. for this reason. According to LS, the LS20 has 3 modes: PC, XBOX and PS4. although it actually has FOUR modes. the fourth is passive, which I believe is the mode where the LED is off. Can't be sure because there is no "passive" in the list of "modes" in the manual. Maybe passive mode was another name for PC mode, but if that's the case then the manual is wrong because the volume control works in PC mode. Not too fast. It's not mentioned in the manual, and passive mode is the only way to save battery. If you press Power too long, the mode will be switched. Too little and it's useless. The REAL cause of my problem was that one of the three clips holding the plastic plug on the left earcup was not snapped into place. The reason for this seems to be that the o-ring got stuck in the hole where the latch was supposed to go. After fully removing the cap from the left earcup, replacing the o-ring, and snapping the cap back into place, the volume control now works. Mute still doesn't work in PC mode (red led) but works in PS4 mode (blue led).tl;dr1. I appreciate any support that suggests I'm not smart enough to read a TWO-PAGE manual.2. The manual is incorrect and/or ambiguous.3. The actual volume control issue I encountered was a POOR INSTALLATION of the device4. Mute doesn't seem to work in PC mode but does work in XBOX/PS4 mode which is documented NO WHERE.5. There's (maybe?) a fourth headset mode with the LED off that's hard to get working.

Pros

Cons
