I have a free standing cabin and I used this setup along with some lampshades I bought from Ikea to decorate my cabin illuminate. I've read negative reviews about this system failing after about a month or so, but decided to give it a try. This is a wonderful lighting system for the price. The light is bright, the wires are long. i love it all Until the controller stopped working. I was determined to leave my system, which I set up with lamps hanging from the roof of my cabin, with lampshades. So I started troubleshooting. Luckily there is a micro USB connector at the end of the solar panel. So I got a relatively cheap power supply with 4 USB ports. I connected the micro USB to the input part of the block and it started charging the block! Then I connected the lightbulbs to the USB output and solved my problem! Well I really like this system but replacing the control unit was annoying but totally doable.
