I wanted something on my belt and big enough to carry my iPhone, wallet, passport and sunglasses (I have a case for regular glasses - more, as normal). Small enough to get the job done and big enough to pack the essentials for a 20 day trip abroad. However, I use it for running, walking and everyday shopping. Sturdy and difficult to disassemble for a potential attacker. A large funny pin on the belt of trousers, shorts or dress protects against theft.
