Review on πŸ‘• Effortlessly Remove Wrinkles with the Steamfast SF-435 Compact Fabric Steamer by Cory Owens

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Worked less than a year and not very well

I used My Little Steamer regularly for 10 years and when it finally died I replaced it with this Steamfast Steamer because the price was lower. It was initially acceptable, although I wasn't thrilled with some of the features. For example: It doesn't hold as much water as the My Little Steamer, so I often run out of water when making a group of garments. .Most of the time the steam spattered and left wet marks on my clothes. Also, the steam wasn't as powerful as the My Little Steamer, so it took longer to get the desired results on the clothes. Unscrewing was unnecessarily long and tedious. It got to the point where I sometimes thought about leaving it partially unscrewed! But I never did it because I wasn't sure if it was safe. Compare to My Little Steamer where I turn the head less than halfway from the body, it pops off, I add water, screw the head back in and you're done - so much faster and easier. Years ago I plugged it in one day and it instantly turned on the GFCI safety switch in my laundry room. I have tried this at several other outlets in my house with the same result. I asked the electrician at work to take a look. He said the internal circuitry was messed up so he threw out the GFCIs because they are there to protect your home power from unsafe electrical equipment problems. So it went in the trash and I ordered a new My Little Steamer which I'm very happy with again.
