I took them to simplify some of the modifications I wanted to make to my 3D printer and I can say they work for that purpose. There is a lot of variety in this set so you can find the right connector for what you are trying to do and it actually works as advertised. I wouldn't credit them with being "waterproof" though. After a few days in a warm (not hot) environment, the seals give out a bit.
