As this is my first experience in the world of support tubing, I have nothing that compares. I've been wearing the Gabriella Support pant for a little over a week now and I have to say this product is near perfect. They do what they are supposed to do, keep my feet and ankles from swelling at the end of the day. These are low-cut, elastic stockings with narrow ankles, plenty of room for the calves and a wide, non-constricting knee band. The nude color is just a little lighter than my skin tone, which allows me to wear sandals this summer without the stockings being so noticeable. The hose wasn't as difficult to put on as I expected, even with my arthritic hands, knees and hips. And god knows, compared to others, the price is right! I took the advice of those who suggest buying a size larger than what is normally worn. However, the foot was too short and my toes felt a little tight, which made me understand why open toe styles are made. Nothing can be done even with a tight fit of the fingers. No pulling, stretching or adjusting will help as the material will quickly return to its original shape. They're simply knit to fit, and aside from a modest toe room, the fit is perfect. If the company had tied the leg just half an inch longer, these would have been perfect knee-high support stockings. SUPPLEMENT: I bought two pairs and have been changing for a month. The ankles began to stretch. With each wearing/washing cycle, the loss of elasticity in the ankle joint increases, but the foot remains firm. I'm disappointed. MORE: It's now November, 4 months later, and I've tried everything Jobst has to offer. None of this worked for me. This is still my favorite support tube. It's worth four stars.
