Works out of the box!
This product works great right out of the box. I should point out that Cortana's speech recognition isn't ideal for Xbox One. Setup with USB cable, power, and Kinect takes a minute or two. I had an issue with the wrong connector when I first plugged it in and then plugged the USB cable back in and it worked for me. Do not send it back until you have connected and tried it.
