One of the combined blows of Covid and retirement is the fact that we don't do a lot of mileage in our car and often leave it in the driveway for many days. Our battery, which we don't care about as much as it should, now needs to be charged and serviced between rides. To give you an idea, with my existing car battery charger, I had to determine the state of charge with a separate device, then figure out how long the battery needed to charge (at a voltage it was capable of), and set a mechanical timer . It's time to enter the world of smart chargers. This small, stylish device can, with a single plug and a few keystrokes, determine exactly what your particular battery needs, apply the correct charge, DO NOT overcharge it, and correct some of the effects of aging and discharge while conserving the battery. The price is much lower than I expected this new technology to cost and it has a showcase that also gives me more confidence. Add an asterisk if your eyes can't read the tiny font in the instruction manual or the weird English syntax translated into Chinese. I would recommend this charger to anyone, especially those who no longer commute to work daily.
