The description is accurate, they are very insulated. TOO isolated, at least for standard use. I tried fitting them to my stock TBI 350 and the wires barely snapped, if at all, on both the header ends and the connector ends. With such a loose connection, thick boots can easily loosen the connections. Very likely this caused other reviewers to melt the covers and components. I bought these to have something more durable to withstand the heat of my aftermarket headers, but I don't recommend using them for stock ignitions. They may be better suited for a secondary HEI update, but I don't have one to test this with. For safety reasons, avoid them if you have a stock ignition system.
