Review on 🐱 EMUST Cat Recovery Suit: Professional Abdominal Wound and Skin Disease Care for Cats - Breathable E-Collar Alternative, Post-Surgery Cat Onesie to Prevent Licking by Claudia Garza

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent protection after sterilization. Kittens allowed.

This is a great alternative to the electronic collar after surgery. I would suggest introducing it to your cat a few days before surgery and letting her wear it for a few hours a day. A few days before I neutered my kittens, they carried them from sleep to morning. When they were operated on they were calm and their cuts were protected from licking. They wore them for two weeks with no problems. I washed them in the middle of two weeks and they were licking like crazy in an hour (under full supervision). There is an extra panel on the inside that covers the incision for sterilization, which gave me extra security. The fabric is very strong but I had no luck with the velcro which my Siamese kitten was able to chew on one side. I wish they sold replacement Velcro but I think I can just buy a few and cut them to size but it would be nice if they matched the type used for these. All in all, I highly recommend these "Jammies". Even my velcro munching mad kitty couldn't get out of them which was great as it meant I got a good nights sleep. This is also a good reason to get used to wearing them before you need to use them after surgery. The only thing I don't like about them is how they should be dressed. If you have a less accommodating cat that resists you when you try to attract them, adjusting the front legs can be a problem. For this reason, I recommend putting them on when your cat is first going to sleep or is just waking up so she is more relaxed and less prone to tantrums. I plan to use them in the future when they might be stressed as they appear much calmer in their pajamas than without them.
