Not as good as other Kayanos

This line of shoes was recommended to me by my physical therapist and I've been using them since the Kayano 20 came out. To date, the Kayano 22 is my favorite shoe from 20-23. They lasted longer than other shoes and were so comfortable that I didn't even realize how worn the soles were until I realized it had been a year since I'd gotten a pair. Unfortunately, the 22s were more expensive, so I had to try the 23s. I bought these shoes with high expectations after using 22's and I really liked them. The first 23 pairs I received lasted about 7 months before I had to buy new ones. At about 5 months I noticed how worn the soles were but unfortunately there wasn't enough money to buy another pair so I had to wait. I'm not a runner and I don't walk more than average, and yet the outsole wears out quickly. In previous shoes, when I first fitted them and put my feet in, they were always very comfortable. With these shoes I had the feeling of standing on high-quality Vans soles. It was uncomfortable from the start and got more and more uncomfortable as the months went by. My back hurt more and my leg muscles became stiff. It's been 7 months and all other versions of the Kayano were still more expensive than this version, maybe for good reason. I had to buy another pair of these horrible shoes. However same problem. Only this time I got used to the uncomfortable design. This pair lasted me 8 months. I recently bought another pair because again this pair is cheaper than the others. I loved getting a new pair of shoes and feeling how comfortable they are. I was not satisfied with this pair and I know if other pairs are more expensive I will just save up and deal with it. Conclusion: Do not order these shoes. They are not a good representation of the Kayanos.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Hard to say
