ring subframe arrived on time and in a well packaged box. With no visible damage to the box, I was excited to finally open it. I quickly became disillusioned. There are a few rough spots on the casting that needed sanding before painting. The paint has a few chips, the packaging is intact, I can only assume it was factory made. The grease used to seal the gears in this tool has seeped down the shaft and contaminated the shaft. To date I have used multiple cleaners on this lube and have not been able to clean it. And finally, the nameplate on the front of the instrument was crooked. All of these issues make me think it lacks build quality, but it stretches the ring to make it work as it should.
