Review on 🏍️ Yamaha YZF-R6 06-16: M4 GP Series Slip-On Exhaust - Black (BLACK) by Robert Pearson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for what I wanted for my 2011 R6

So far so good. Not much louder than the 2 brothers exhaust it replaced, but I honestly didn't expect it and I really didn't want it. I got this because after replacing my rear kits with red anodized chrome, the chrome exhaust was sticking out like a thumb since everything else was black or red. It looks much better and a bit smaller/shorter. I've removed a cat and am using a Y-pipe, also from M4 I believe. Installation was easy. Those of you who expected to get a lot more aftermarket sound without picking up the big fat cat under the R6 won't be impressed with the sound of any of the overlay options. To get the sound you're probably looking for, buy a Y/Mid Pipe (around $150) to replace the cat. Leave the honeycomb in the remaining tube and install the Y-tube - just follow the instructions to cut. You don't have to buy Power Commander (although I'm sure it wouldn't hurt). Without them you shouldn't get any nasty effects/pops etc. Then you will fall in love with the sound. A much better option than spending $1,000 on a full system and then another $250 on a PC.
