In the photo, my nails are covered with ombre without a top. I'm a semi-professional nail artist (I also have a day job) but I hate doing ombre with brushes - it takes a lot of time. Since I prefer the sponge method, this is a game changer for gel ombre. Since you have to remove protective covers, liquid skin or tape before each treatment (or product cured on protective covers and therefore messy skin that needs to be removed - I know I did this many years ago!), these remove in a blink of an eye before applying each coat, and can simply be dipped in a small bowl of alcohol and rubbed between coats. MUCH FASTER. I did all this ombre, 4 coats plus decals (no top yet) in 30 minutes. I understand they wouldn't be great if you bought them just because you're not careful with polish, but for stamping or ombre, especially with gel, they're a MUST! Also, they come in different sizes and I've only indicated the size of the guard that fits each of my fingers (thumb, forefinger, etc.). I just bought more to use on my clients!
