I bought it to flash the firmware on the router (via the serial pins on the board). Tried them on FOUR different machines, THREE different operating systems and different serial applications. ***NONE*** of them worked with those useless pieces of silicon. Having two of these, I tried them in a loopback configuration, thinking that if they worked I'd get an answer from my own computer. Tried swapping TX and RX in case the boards were mislabeled. NOTHING. If I plugged that into the router, the router would NEVER finish the download. Remove it and the router will boot normally. I can only assume that they are shorted internally. So now I've spent time getting it to work and I need to try another brand of device to see if I can get something that actually works. I'm not even sure if it's worth sending them back as I hate wasting postage and also the retail price (postage is almost the same as the cost of the units themselves).
