My 17 month old daughter wants to wear towels around the house after her bath but can't keep them closed or walk around with them so I thought it was a baby bathrobe! Now she can walk and doesn't have to worry about holding it in her hands, she likes to wear it and it's quite soft. The only problem we have is that it's not fully closed! Babies have a protruding tummy, that's how kids are, and the sides barely meet! The ties are enough so we can tie it up with lots of extra room but the sides don't hold up, even if she just sits down you'll need to add another small tie to hold it up and/or make the sides a bit longer for baby .
