This is my THIRD set of replacement batteries for my home phones. I've always liked Panasonic cordless phones and have three units, my house is bigger and for convenience I had extra phones or moved the phone to a room I didn't use that often and upgraded my main phone. My husband also uses Panasonic phones for his office phone line. When the phone my husband used for his office started beeping and wouldn't charge, I bought some batteries from the store. Didn't think it would matter. Instead of "beeping" and not charging, my phone beeped and made a noise like it was dialing a number and did it repeatedly. So I bought a Panasonic brand to match the one on this phone. That does not work. Shortly thereafter, my main telephone, which is no longer old, started to squeak. First I tried the batteries I bought at the store just in case. They weren't cheap, and these phones were a few years newer. I thought this might work. It's not like this. So I finally found them and ordered them. At first I thought it was the key. Both phones were completely discharged and had to be charged for "7 hours". So I set them up for that. The next day it turned out that one worked and the other didn't. I loved it. At least one works, that's for starters. Well I'm disappointed again. I can move back and forth from the main base to the "satelliteโ, and sometimes the phone will charge on one, then on the other, at least not for long. They have not yet shown that they are fully charged at any of the bases. Now my main base handset starts going through the "beep" and "dial" process. They never took more than 2 bars. When new these batteries will not fit my phones either and are exactly the same as the original batteries that came with my phone. I've owned three Panasonic phones before, and every time the "rechargeable" batteries died, the phone itself seemed useless. I thought when I received these batteries I solved the problem. The phones seemed to "like" these batteries straight away, then it all went back to the usual problem and one of the phones wouldn't charge on the first day. I moved it to another base and it doesn't matter. I know the phones seemed "happy" with these batteries when I first put them in, but it didn't even last overnight. Now I'm thinking about connecting our truck to the phone just like that. It should have been such a simple solution, instead it has become an unnecessary problem, like almost all modern electronic devices. What's the use of "rechargeable" batteries if the phones themselves won't work after the "original" batteries die? I tried several options. Yes. Just in case, I tried to "re-register" the phones on the base station. I couldn't charge one of the handsets enough to even try to "re-register" them to the base station. I can't tell if these are batteries for SOME or the phones themselves, but my phones were perfectly working when I first put these batteries in, but they never fully charged on any basis.
