I go barefoot wherever I can, on gravel, hot sidewalk and so on. Never stops me because my feet are always so hard and calloused (because I'm almost always barefoot or in sandals). I've tried many other files over the years and they help, but THESE do the job and well! It's usually just a grater with small holes, but this set has a larger grater that literally shaves dry, dead, rough skin right off my heels. It probably took less than 10 minutes to do both legs and they feel brand new. Walking on my decking is a bit uncomfortable now because my protective (callus) layer has gone. That tells me how well these products work. And for the price, it's a lot cheaper than the extra, expensive additions to a nail salon during a pedicure. They also feel strong and well made and do not deform under pressure during use; they seem to take quite a while.
