Definitely better than halogen, but could be brighter
These are so much better than the hot, dangerous halogen bulbs that came with our old under the counter puck lights. Have scars to prove the heat has disappeared. But our bulbs were small G4 based bi-pins and it was hard to find G4s that were as bright as the halogen equivalents they replaced. That said, I would still buy these again. Try to look for a bigger wattage equivalent than the halogens you have, if you are replacing G4 bi-pin LED bulbs.

- May not produce sufficient lumens to effectively light a room
