Updated from an old thermostat that kept the water at 115 degrees. Installation was easy, took about 10 minutes and now my water temperature is 140 degrees and the hot water lasts longer as more cold water is mixed into the shower faucet. These thermostats last 30,000 cycles before they begin to deteriorate and eventually fail. Upgrading them early is a simple solution that will prolong hot water in your RV. Note: The gas burner operates on 12 volts DC and this thermostat is designed to work with gas. If you also have an electrical appliance, you will need to order another thermostat that is rated to operate on 120 volts AC.
