Scented bricks are pleasant, durable, contain no smoke and residual ash. The burner is a nice little thing, smaller than it looks in the photo but works well for smoking. I particularly like that the dish seems to keep its coppery color as well as the beautiful combination of black and gold. The kit includes a wooden stand that cools the surface under the burner. I had to sharpen the inner rail a bit to get it to fit my torch perfectly, but for the price I can run an X-ACTO knife for five minutes and not complain. The burner is not suitable for inserting a tealight. This may be true, but the window is not intended to be used in this way. The window has room for a lit match or a long neck lighter to light the candle after it is placed in the burner. For someone to use their fingers to intimidate an actively burning candle through a hole of this shape and size strikes me as a certain lack of intelligence or imagination rather than a lack of product design.
