Swivel wheelchair good and bad

Swivel wheelchair good and bad. including pennies is great. If you only do things on the road, it's probably better to get a forward-steer-only car. Sometimes you hit a rock or some kind of bump with the rear wheel and instead of the van going forward, the rear axle just spins. The steering is quite jerky at speed. It's best to keep this van on sidewalks and relatively flat trails. Axle joints can loosen over time. There is plastic between the axle frame and the body to prevent metal-to-metal contact. I think over time the body has deformed a bit which has also caused things to loosen up. It's not that much for my station wagon - just something to look at. I think the steering and axles make noise when driving on bumpy dirt roads and such. I was able to screw on the rear axle, but I didn't have the motivation to do so. One of the worst things is unnecessary tires and wheels. Oh yeah, pipes are the worst. These are Chinese rubber plastic tires that will smell like your garage and home. It couldn't get any worse, other than one of the hoses would not hold air for more than a couple of days. I filled the tube several times and then threw away the wheels and tires. I installed American-made aluminum kart wheels with ball bearings and smooth rubber tires. Tires for garden tractors will do. However, I had to resort to tire bead sealant to ensure all tires were securely holding air. I didn't know there was such a thing as bead sealing until this particular project. I cut the axle ends and installed ny-lock nuts. I didn't see the need to drill the ends of the axle for the split pins since it's just a baby van. The van is a good size to tow with the kids - another nice feature. The telescopic handle is also good. I'd have to do a little more shopping before I buy another Schwinn station wagon. This one is also excellent for maneuvering through crowds and around obstacles. I would pay more money to get a higher quality van as you can get so much use out of it with young children.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Good but not great
