Surface Pro 6 advertises with 13 hours of battery life. However, if you use this dock all the time, your battery will always be charged. This ultimately shortens the battery life of your Surface. You can disable the charging port. However, when you do this, you also disconnect all the cables you rely on to be productive. This product is easy to use and does exactly what it is supposed to do. I want to prevent my Surface from charging when the dock connector is connected.
