My boy recently started carrying 12 huskies. His physique is average but this year he has a small belly - we look forward to growing soon! In comparison, he can wear regular jogging bottoms in size 10-12 or pull up, but he gets a bit tight at times. These pants seem to be a little fuller so I went with the 10-11 year old as he is 10 years old. They fit him like a normal size 10-12 and were also too short. My boy is average or small compared to his school class. I think 1 size down should be perfect for him. They are cotton so I don't know if they will shrink in the wash. I was very surprised at the short length - most pants on my boy are too long.
