Revainrating 4 out of 5

I think PC gamers should rejoice

And here is a large stack of monitors. Not necessarily in terms of screen size - you can pick up a 75-inch TV for half the price - but in terms of the WEIGHT of this thing. In fact, TWICE compared to a similar sized display. It's mostly just for video games, especially PC games. It doesn't have HDMI 2.1, which is confusing, but then again, modern consoles play 4k at 120fps; 4k 60 or even 4k 30 is much more realistic to expect. Anyway, here are my impressions from a traditional LED TV (LG's mid-range display). I use this monitor with my PS5 and my gaming PC (Ryzen 3700x and RTX 3080). I thought the PS5 looked great right out of the box - it just took a little while. But not as much of an improvement over my previous display as I had hoped. When I connected my computer to the mains, I was initially disappointed. I found that I had to set the HDR mode to Custom and then turn up the brightness on desktop; That helped. I usually crank the brightness of all my displays to 100% and it's never REALLY good enough. This time I got 75% and it's PERFECT. The brightness is 100% and it's basically like I've just brought my personal sunshine into my playroom. This is the brightest display I've ever had. Otherwise, I'm not an image expert enough to fully describe the image - Phillips has included the monitor calibration results, which is good if you're interested. I will say that apart from the brightness during PC gaming there is no ghosting or screen tearing at all. It's not the fastest response time, but for its size it's fantastic and far better than 95% of all TVs. the response time is a bit slower than I would have liked - the LED changes a fraction of a second later than I would like to see it. I believe this can be fixed if a firmware update ever comes out. The sound is also excellent, much better than the regular TV speakers. The woofer still doesn't produce very deep bass, which is to be expected, but speech clarity and treble are presented well. Probably the best thing about this display is that it easily connects to a gaming PC when using the Displayport input. The moment I plugged in the DisplayPort cable, my computer immediately recognized it and shifted the display signal. I can't tell you how many problems I've had with graphics cards and HDMI output to regular TVs. This is a real monitor that can accept any resolution and any type of refresh signal you can feed it. similar monitors with huge display but as a display enthusiast I am very happy with it so far.
