The base is wide enough that it can safely withstand a bump or accidental bump, but that's also thanks to the rubber feet on the bottom of the speaker. Wall anchors are pretty cheap and easy to remove, so I decided to use my own. There are three holes attaching the panel to the wall and the instructions were limited, although figuring out how to install it correctly isn't hard. I would suggest fitting an anchor and screw at a time to ensure they are level once completed. There is a cable port in the back, but make sure the cable lays flat when rolled up to make the most of storage space. I was able to wrap all the extra cable and attach it to the wall without zip ties and it looks neat. This shelf is ideal for a location where the speaker has limited access to accidental contact. I would buy it again, just wish it didn't come with 10 cent dowels and maybe double sided tape so you could line up the holes while the shelf is attached to the wall without holding it with one hand and with the to work for others
