After over 20 years my pepper mill stopped working. I wanted something beautiful and durable. I bought a few different cheap ones and they lasted less than a year. I bought a battery that lasted six batteries a month and lasted less than six months so I was a little skeptical when I saw it at that price. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I'm SO glad I did. You look great. They're made of thick glass, which comes in handy for me as I tend to melt plastic objects (including one of the cheap coffee grinders I've bought). I also find it positive that the degree of grinding can be adjusted from very fine to very coarse. We love our fine salt and my husband loves fine pepper and I prefer a little coarser. It's awesome. They are very well made and I expect they will last for many years. FANTASTIC product
