I just upgraded my 2013 MacBook Air to the latest version and needed a new case/cover. I loved my old BookBook case and never had a single complaint. I ordered this one as the new MacBook Airs no longer come in 11" cases. The quality of the leather is just as good and I love the hidden folder detail but the cover although it's for the 13" Air is too big, there is nothing to hold the laptop in place when open so it slips while typing, and when you try to close it the "hinge loops" prevent it from closing fully, so it has to be zipped in place otherwise it won't hold the laptop.I discovered this the hard way when I closed it but unzipped it and my new Air fell out and is now ruined.I'm just sick of it. The zipping and unzipping is a big problem I know people will say I should have been more careful with an expensive computer and I should have been BUT with my original BookBook I was able to get past it d close and knew my laptop was protected. It was also possible to open the lid and laptop at the same time as connecting, but this does not exist in the new version. Since the laptop is moved in a case that is too large, it is also difficult to open it. It's pretty much useless for my purposes, so it's going back. I am very disappointed with this new version.
