I first bought my son an Elmo potty that "rinsed out" and he didn't want to do anything with it. He sat on it a little more but one day I decided to use the fish part as a convertible potty ring and lo and behold he loved sucking on the big potty! It fits perfectly in our standard size toilet and is snug enough not to wobble. The splash guard is adequate even for a little boy (not as tall as the FP frog pot, but still taller than many). If you're hesitant, you owe it to yourself and your potty-trainee to try it — you can get a potty, ring, and stool for less than anything found in the more expensive, but not necessarily better, potty brand.
