Review on πŸ”Š Android Speaker Dock with Bluetooth - Philips Fidelio AS851/37 by Adam Townsend

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good sound and design

I'm not a music lover but I agree with all the other reviewers who say this speaker sounds very good for its size. Sound fills my 900 square meters. Feet of tight bass and clear mids. Even at high volume there is no distortion. My Virgin S2 fits easily in the docking station but not in my Trident case due to not enough free space around the USB port. I'm not knocking the speaker down for this because my case is pretty important. It will likely fit the S2's thinner body. I was able to pair the speaker with Bluetooth without any problems. I love that you can either mount the phone on the speaker or control it by holding the phone. It's also great that the speaker automatically turns on and syncs when you dock your phone. The speaker also looks good. It has nothing to do with performance, but I think aesthetics are more important than what is usually combined with decor. Disadvantages in my opinion: The range of the remote control is not very good. I'm estimating it to be around 20 feet, which means I have to exit the kitchen and take a few steps into the living room to get it working. In addition, the keys are quite narrow. Sometimes it's difficult to sync everything with Dock Studio to use the remote control. For reasons I couldn't figure out, sometimes I can only control the volume with the remote and no other functions. I can tidy things up by turning off the speaker and then physically plugging the phone into the speaker. I consider each of these problems to be relatively minor. This speaker sounds good and is worth the money. It's nice to have a good droid dock.
