Nearly perfect! Best in Portable Audio and Video

Bought this for my husband as a Christmas present. He's wanted a dock for his Droid X since we got new phones last Christmas. Philips is the only company currently making the Droid speaker dock. The speaker is OUTSTANDING! Great sound - even for my very picky husband. And the good thing is that I can plug my phone into the back to charge it while it's docked and music is playing. Very easy to use and the remote control is a nice feature. The ONLY downside we found is that the phone doesn't sit…

Nothing like it, sounds great, expensive

My only complaint about it is the price, it works great and sounds great but $200 seems way too high. I think they can afford that luxury when there really isn't such a thing. Charging and dock work flawlessly, you can easily adjust the plug to be in the correct position for any phone with a micro USB connector, allowing the phone to connect to the dock with ease. The audio uses Bluetooth, so you need to make sure your phone supports Bluetooth audio. I had no problems with HTC Droid Incredible…

Well done Phillips! in Portable Bluetooth Speakers

I just got my Phillips AS851 in the mail. Looks stylish and sounds great. stereo speakers. The only reason I mention this is because I had trouble figuring out if it was actually one speaker or two. It has two speakers. The phone communicates with the dock via Bluetooth and the Fidelio and Songbird apps, which can be downloaded from the Google App Store. The apps do the trick, but they're a bit quirky. I'm sure fixes will be available in the future. I have very little experience with internet…

Good Sound: Portable Bluetooth Speakers

. We have this on the kitchen counter mainly for charging phones (HTC Thunderbolts) and playing music through Pandora from the same phones. He makes music almost every day. We also sometimes use it to watch Hulu/Netflix with better sound from an iPad or Kindle Fire in the kitchen. Do you have a charging port? The PIN can be made shorter or longer depending on the needs of your phone. However, we still use a small block of wood/plastic in the groove to support the top of the phone (our connector

Good sound and design

I'm not a music lover but I agree with all the other reviewers who say this speaker sounds very good for its size. Sound fills my 900 square meters. Feet of tight bass and clear mids. Even at high volume there is no distortion. My Virgin S2 fits easily in the docking station but not in my Trident case due to not enough free space around the USB port. I'm not knocking the speaker down for this because my case is pretty important. It will likely fit the S2's thinner body. I was able to pair the…

Great docking station for the price

This is my first experience with an audio docking station. I used to only use my Logitech 5.1 surround sound system to play music. I have to say that I am very impressed with this little docking station. Interface: The dock port is only used to charge the device, no other interfaces are activated via USB. Everything else happens over a Bluetooth connection. Bluetooth connected quickly. Switching devices is as easy as disconnecting and reconnecting another. The Bluetooth range is good. I've…
