I bought these instead of the more expensive magnetic clasp. I had some difficulty opening the lids and attaching each necklace to the device. They are very close to each other and bother each other. The closing method is non-magnetic, it is a metal tab that slides into the round filigree piece and clicks when closed. I had a hard time closing it with all the necklace clasps and had a hard time opening it when I wanted to take the necklaces off. It's nice when someone is looking at the back of the necklaces, but it doesn't feel secure. At least when it opens I will find that all 3 necklaces fall off my neck at the same time.
