I bought this speaker to help my elderly mother who was hard of hearing and had a hard time watching TV. This speaker was purchased to replace a speaker from another manufacturer that she had been unhappy with since purchasing it. Well, this speaker solved all of our problems. First, the speaker has an optical audio port, which was a must as it was the only connector that worked with my mom's TV. Second, the speaker includes a second AC charger that can be used for the speaker in a separate location rather than at the base. This little detail is fantastic and makes speaker and base placement a lot easier. Finally, it comes with a pair of headphones to use with the speaker. These are great headphones and my mum uses them when she wants to keep the noise down for the rest of the house. She loves the headphones and loves their versatility as she can wear them over her head, under her chin or on the back of her head. Overall this is a great product and has everything you need. A+
