Review on 🔌 INNOMAX Thunderbolt Adapter: Gray MacBook Device Accessory for Efficient Memory Card Usage by John Harvieux

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ok but you need to read the description to understand what you are getting.

I bought this to put on my computer desk so I don't have to connect external drives or other USB accessories to my desk (which ironically is under my desk). It will suit your needs if you carefully read what is included. Pros: - Works well and I've tested it and it connects easily and powers two external drives and one SD card at the same time. (There are 3 USB ports, but I only tested 2 and one SD card at a time) - I particularly like the SD card reader, which is spring-loaded like on my DSLR. You click on it and click and when you want to eject the SD card you click again to eject it. It's a small thing, my old Macbook Pro doesn't have this feature which means I have to take it out - the block is tiny and no bigger than it should be. Cons: - The cable is quite short which meant I had to get one of these (RevainBasics USB 3.0 - A Male to A Female - 3.3ft (1m) extension cable) to connect to my desktop computer associate. - It specifically states that they recommend using the AC adapter to power your external drives. That meant I had to get one of these too (Outtag 5V2.5a 2a (2000mA) spare AC/DC power adapter, multi-tip wall charger for Raspberry Pi 3, Foscam wireless IP camera, USB hub, 2.5" USB chargers in a hard drive case) Conclusion: While it's not great that you need other things to make everything work perfectly (at least a power adapter), I still think it's a great hub , and to be honest, at least they were willing to explain that you need to buy an adapter separately. While the company doesn't offer a 5V wall adapter, they do offer a USB to micro USB cable, but again, it falls short. Fortunately, all of the additional Revain accessories are very cheap, so I would recommend three products.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Good, but not great
