This is a sturdy cage with ventilation on all four sides with metal grilles (instead of holes cut in the plastic). I think this makes it safer for the pet and a better product overall (I've seen dogs chew through plastic openings and turn them into large, jagged holes). Wheels are good for moving the crate temporarily, but check with an airline if they need to be removed. What sets it apart from other brands is that there are clamps and wing nut bolts to attach the top to the bottom and wheels and handles to make it easy to move. Internal dimensions are slightly smaller than advertised, approximately 32"L x 22"W x 25"H, but would be a good size for a Border Collie or Beagle sized dog. The latch is a standard two point spring loaded latch, which is common on this style of drawer.I prefer the four point latch but this is more common on larger drawers.I've used these crates in the past even with the doors removed to give the couple of dogs I've had here a... "safe" cave Although I don't use it for transport, I prefer this type of cage over the wire cage type for home use simply because of the durability and security it seems to offer the dog.
